Guided by founder and Director, Corry R. Turley, II, and with the contributions of 8 highly qualified employees, PHOENIX ABSTRACT AND TITLE COMPANY provides reliable service and a quality product to the people of Ellis County, Texas.

Phoenix opened its doors in Ellis County in 1996, ready and able to carry on the tradition of excellence begun a decade earlier by its predecessor, Title Resources. Phoenix has always offered professional escrow and closing services and title insurance for real estate transactions, including sales and purchases, land development, equity loans and mortgage refinances. And, now, we’re proud to make a comprehensive sovereign title plant available via web access.

We at Phoenix ensure that all parties in a real estate transaction are represented by an industry professional fully experienced in escrow matters. Each closer is a qualified escrow officer and a “people person”. Utilizing the most advanced plant and escrow software programs and equipment, we go all out to make your closing experience a pleasant one.

The abstract plant, also known as the title plant or research department, is where the history of real property is studied and its past and present ownership is determined, as well as any defects in title that require attention prior to closing a sale or a loan. Phoenix maintains the only fully computerized sovereign abstract plant in Ellis County, Texas, dating back to the earliest posted record in 1900. Plant personnel also have access to other resources that make research possible back to 1845, the year Ellis County was founded.

With Phoenix Abstract, you can rest assured that we know the history of your land and that we’re ready and able to accommodate your closing needs.
